With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romano Morales in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Couto Mixto F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Serena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Couto Mixto F.C. defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Langford. The Couto Mixto F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Langford should have stopped the shot. Christopher Langford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. Couto Mixto F.C.'s Christopher Langford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play. Gabriel-Omar Bati's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Couto Mixto F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Christopher Langford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Primitivo Andino in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Couto Mixto F.C.'s Truylos Castellano. A collision led to Couto Mixto F.C. getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Truylos Castellano hit a great ball. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christopher Langford came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Saelices slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Couto Mixto F.C. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Truylos Castellano hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Christopher Langford made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Christopher Langford successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Couto Mixto F.C.'s Christopher Langford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Couto Mixto F.C. from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Couto Mixto F.C. throughout the match.
