Nilton Marinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Abel Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Emanuel Pimenta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Real Brasil F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Abel Rosado might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Rosado ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Luís Guilherme Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! When Real Brasil F.C.'s Tiago Gabriel Mendes in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilton Marinho. Nilton Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fellipe do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Tiago Gabriel Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Brasil F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Nilton Marinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tiago Gabriel Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Gabriel Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Mendes in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Abel Rosado scored 3-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nilton Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 84th minute of the match. Luís Guilherme Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Mendes in the 92nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Mendes came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Brasil F.C. had played much better football throughout.
