Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Filip Paulescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 35th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Paulescu came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Lucian Stere got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Marian Văduvescu made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Marian Văduvescu came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 73rd minute Lucian Stere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Marian Văduvescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 77 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Barbu came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Lucian Stere who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 minutes, Robert Antohi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Steaua Pildesti and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Antohi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Fința during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Alberto Tafalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
