A wasted opportunity for Samba Fotboll U21. In the 10thth minute of the game Joseph Holmberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Joseph Holmberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. If Jim Meck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Samba Fotboll U21's Wictor Gustavsson. 23 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's Joseph Holmberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Holmberg got free with Benito Sanz in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim Meck to make the kick off. Viktor Sillén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Zygmunt Koprowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 85th minute Zygmunt Koprowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
