Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Hammarby Gård's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Sven-Oskar Dahlquist. Hammarby Gård's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 70 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Sven-Oskar Dahlquist managed to make a qualified save. Hammarby Gård's players were relieved. Agustín Saelices charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agustín Saelices the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute Lennart Möller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Möller in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Hammarby Gård's goalkeeper Sven-Oskar Dahlquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarl Apelqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thor Ekström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
