Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdomiro Ferraz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 5 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonardo de Godoi who took care of the corner kick. 9 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Valadares. The crowd rose to their feet as Almir Valadares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thiago Pliego. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Montalcino SE's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Valdomiro Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego made an important save on a dangerous shot by Almir Valadares in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Montalcino SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Espiridion in the 21st minute of the match. Almir Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Montalcino SE defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdomiro Ferraz. The Montalcino SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Ferraz should have stopped the shot. Valdomiro Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Montalcino SE's Almir Valadares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 2-2 after 35 minutes of play. In the 37th minute of the match, Nicolas Espiridion tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Valdomiro Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Almir Valadares sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Valdomiro Ferraz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Ferraz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Valadares in the 54th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Válter Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Valadares in the 65th minute of play. Guillermo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Lacasa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Valdomiro Ferraz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdomiro Ferraz. The supporters of Montalcino SE booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Tamayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 played minutes, Montalcino SE's Leonardo de Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thiago Pliego came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
