The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Dariusz Pietrasz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Dawid Bielecki kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Gwarek Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roch Maciejewski to maneuver through the defense. Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Gwarek Zabrze from getting a goal against them. Łukasz Fabiański made an important save on a dangerous shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 76th minute. Dariusz Pietrasz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Łukasz Fabiański read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Gwarek Zabrze got a freekick which was hit by Roch Maciejewski. In the 85th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwarek Zabrze's Łukasz Fabiański played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 88th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Wielowiejski in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Łukasz Fabiański saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Łukasz Fabiański took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Łukasz Fabiański. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gwarek Zabrze! Łukasz Fabiański went to the wrong direction when Joel Gaona was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Gwarek Zabrze fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
