A beautiful save bye F.C.Bacha's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Guillelme came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Bacha's Vicente Abrantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when F.C.Bacha's Santos Guillelme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vicente Abrantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. Santos Guillelmes short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vicente Abrantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Abrantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Balendín Rubio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 34th minute F.C.Bacha were awarded a corner. Balendín Rubio went to the cornerflag to take it. F.C.Bacha's Vicente Abrantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. Vicente Abrantes came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Palmiro Colaço came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the F.C.Bacha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Colaço couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Santos Guillelme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, F.C.Bacha's goalkeeper Vicente Abrantes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 57 minutes F.C.Bacha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. F.C.Bacha's Vicente Abrantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.Bacha from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, F.C.Bacha's Vicente Abrantes got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vicente Abrantes. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Guillelme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, F.C.Bacha's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Vicente Abrantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Abrantes. F.C.Bacha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. F.C.Bacha made a substitution. Gaitano Porras replaced Luiz Eduardo Vaz. F.C.Bacha's Hermano Viveiros got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 81 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, F.C.Bacha's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Vicente Abrantes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 90th minute of play forced F.C.Bacha's goalkeeper Vicente Abrantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santos Guillelme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
