After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Björn Jespersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marieholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Jespersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Esteban Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Björn Jespersson came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Marieholm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Jespersson couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Malcolm Påk tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, Marieholm's Björn Jespersson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Björn Jespersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Björn Jespersson went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Jespersson in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Haström kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Marieholm got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Lind. Honduras's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Marieholm had won, even though Honduras had held more of the ball.
