Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Patrick Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. 7 minutes into the match, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Sebastián Puig came free, but Taha Günden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Taha Günden managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Rüegsegger in the 11th minute of play. Patrick Carneiro had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gunter Waller tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Taha Günden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 29 minutes into the match, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Taha Günden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Carneiros short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patrick Carneiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Taha Günden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Rüegsegger came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Carneiro in the 43rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Taha Günden made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Taha Günden was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Rüegsegger in the 58th minute of play. ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK's Hazım Başdoğan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunter Waller in the 61st minute of play. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Carneiro in the 65th minute of play. When Camilo Gisbert fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Camilo Gisbert a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hazım Başdoğan went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Carneiro in the 71st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ziya Aydın to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd match minute, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddy Rüegsegger to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Ziya Aydın put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 81 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Carneiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Rüegsegger in the 83rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Carneiro in the 87th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, ŞAHŞEHRİYAR FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
