When Kevin Mastache fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Kevin Mastache a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fcion C.A. booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fcion C.A. were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rikard Moberg took the corner. The corner led to Fcion C.A.'s Rikard Moberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game David Muñoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Fcion C.A. booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Fcion C.A.'s David Muñoz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olgierd Walczak having to make a save. Fcion C.A.'s Olgierd Walczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olgierd Walczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Olgierd Walczak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Olgierd Walczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Sebastião Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaç capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olgierd Walczak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Olgierd Walczak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 38th minute of play forced Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Olgierd Walczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Fcion C.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Olgierd Walczak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgierd Walczak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colombia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Benjamim Rollheiser scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Manzanares, making the score, 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Muñoz made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 54th minute of play forced Fcion C.A.'s goalkeeper Olgierd Walczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Fcion C.A.'s Rikard Moberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. 63 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olgierd Walczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Abram Secada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fcion C.A.'s Olgierd Walczak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Fcion C.A. from getting a goal against them. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 95th minute. The corner led Colombia's Kevin Mastache to fire away a dangerous shot which Olgierd Walczak despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fcion C.A. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
