With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lu Cheng Di in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 9th minute Lu Cheng Di shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lu Cheng Di, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaakoppi Vilmunen who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Manchester United's corner Jaakoppi Vilmunen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Covarrubias got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Covarrubias during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th minute, one of Uruguay:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Joonas Tirkkonen was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Maximiliano Escribano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximiliano Escribano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Francisco Seco scored 1-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joonas Tirkkonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Joonas Tirkkonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. The Uruguay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
