Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Nickler in the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Westra Aros SK's zone, Moises Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Västlund came out of the goal and Moises Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luca Espinar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ivan Västlund. Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Westra Aros SK's Bror Beck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 4-0 after 39 minutes of play. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Axel Linberg, made in the 44th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Västlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
