In the 15th minute, Eliseo Mina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar. Fulgencio Villalcazar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 21st minute of play forced Cuatrodeocho's goalkeeper Fulgencio Villalcazar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belarmino Campos made in the 26th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Horea Băieșu immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 26th minute. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Belarmino Campos made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 34 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute David Batuhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, David Batuhin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Noboa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nail Horan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cuatrodeocho's zone, Eliseo Mina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Villalcazar came out of the goal and Eliseo Mina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Batuhin was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute David Batuhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 57th minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Alvarado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Băieșu in the 65th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 69th minute of play. Andy Entrena hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Cuatrodeocho made a substitution. Iván Villafane replaced Horea Băieșu. Cuatrodeocho's José Planes was substituted for Sid Wilson. Cuatrodeocho's Marco-Antonio Landa was substituted for Javier Maroto. After 74 played minutes Cuatrodeocho got a freekick which was hit by Andy Entrena. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Fulgencio Villalcazar in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 minutes of play, Peru's Luz Tejedor made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulgencio Villalcazar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Fulgencio Villalcazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. With a little luck, Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar got control of the ball when Rafael Gallo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Villafane in the 95th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
