The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. François Rouvrais helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute François Rouvrais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Glad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Hamburg's Pompiliu Roşculeţ got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game François Rouvrais who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Segmon IF's Alfons Glad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Segmon IF's Leif Löfdahl dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 17th minute Manfred Kottsieper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Glad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, FC Hamburg's François Rouvrais made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfons Glad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfons Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Roşculeţ in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Coutinho in the 29th minute of play forced FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Johnny Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, FC Hamburg's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Dubiel came free, but Johnny Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leif Löfdahl to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfons Glad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from François Rouvrais, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. FC Hamburg's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Löfdahl in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goalkeeper Alfons Glad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfred Kottsieper.
