Muhammad Bejaoui received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izydor Dranka in the 24th minute of play forced FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Johnny Banks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When Mikael Nilsson came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Jar.C Lipno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Nilsson couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Roşculeţ notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Jar.C Lipno's Wladyslaw Czerwinski. Izydor Dranka helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jar.C Lipno getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Izydor Dranka hit a great ball. FC Hamburg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
