Tymur Dolganskyi's late challenge caught a SMOKI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tymur Dolganskyi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Legia Stavanger getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tymur Dolganskyi hit a great ball. Slavcho Kanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdzislaw Smuskiewicz in the 7th minute of play. Patryk Glozor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gjermund Viste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdzislaw Smuskiewicz in the 18th minute of play forced Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Slavcho Kanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Bentkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavcho Kanov having to interfere. In the 21st minute Gjermund Viste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patryk Glozor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Kanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Wojno, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Abelardo Alonso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Patryk Glozor firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 25th minute of the match Legia Stavanger got a corner. SMOKI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gjermund Viste ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gjermund Viste almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SMOKI's Patryk Glozor did a great save. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Wojno in the 31st minute of play. Patryk Glozor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gjermund Viste in the 32nd minute of play. Dariusz Wojno took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Slavcho Kanov. Slavcho Kanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Patryk Glozor was a little too slow when Gjermund Viste got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gjermund Viste to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, SMOKI's Slavcho Kanov threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emil Kapinos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With 52 minutes on the clock, Nicolae Ciorogaru commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of SMOKI booed when Legia Stavanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trygve Stormoen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zdzislaw Smuskiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Slavcho Kanov made a huge save. In the 57th minute SMOKI were awarded a corner. Hugon Malewicki went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hugon Malewicki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov did a great save. If Daniel Farstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Alonso in the 62nd minute of play forced SMOKI's goalkeeper Patryk Glozor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SMOKI's Dariusz Wojno was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 88th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Patryk Glozor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SMOKI walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
