The Legia Stavanger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Slavcho Kanov should have stopped the shot. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Legia Stavanger from getting a goal against them. Legia Stavanger's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Leif Löfdahl scored to the left of an out of position Slavcho Kanov, making the score, 2-0. In the 20thth minute of the game Gjermund Viste who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Segmon IF's Alfons Glad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Legia Stavanger's Abelardo Alonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfons Glad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute Lars-Erik Lidström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Johannes Rosin fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Segmon IF's protests and gave Johannes Rosin a yellow card for diving instead. Johannes Rosin kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Gjermund Viste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Glad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orest Bredun struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Alfons Glad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Stavanger. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Though ot was a great shot Segmon IF's keeper Alfons Glad was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 56th minute, Gjermund Viste left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After 81 minutes of play, Legia Stavanger's Gjermund Viste made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfons Glad was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute Joseph Österlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Lidström in the 92nd minute of play. Daniel Farstad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Slavcho Kanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Dubiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Segmon IF had played much better football throughout.
