The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edin Džeko got free with Henning Sæmer in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henning Sæmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edin Džeko's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Edin Džeko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29thth minute of the game Edin Džeko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edin Džeko in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper Henning Sæmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edin Džeko in the 34th managed to get into a good position. Massem Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Henning Sæmer made a huge save. Sosnowiec getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Radomil Brack hit a great ball. Kacper Tobiáš was a little too slow when Dimitar Berbatov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 8-1. Edin Džeko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C. Sosnowiec fully deserved thier win.
