The corner led Capo de Provincia's Epifanío Mejia to fire away a dangerous shot which Henning Sæmer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jeronimo Avarias short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Henning Sæmer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 9 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitar Berbatov came free, but Baudelio Santa Ana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Dimitar Berbatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudelio Santa Ana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitar Berbatov came free, but Baudelio Santa Ana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capo de Provincia's Baudelio Santa Ana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Nygren in the 20th minute of play. Baudelio Santa Ana came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nordsjælland's Benjamin Nygren. But to his dismay, Benjamin Nygren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 26th minute when Benjamin Nygren elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Henning Sæmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Avaria in the 30th minute. After 37 minutes Capo de Provincia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andreas Schjelderup who took care of the corner kick. When Benjamin Nygren came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Nordsjælland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Nygren couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Nygren in the 41st minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Baudelio Santa Ana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baudelio Santa Ana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Nygren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Nygren in the 48th minute of play forced Capo de Provincia's goalkeeper Baudelio Santa Ana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeronimo Avaria made a kick off. In the last second Baudelio Santa Ana throw himself and got hold of the ball when Dimitar Berbatov in the 54thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Schjelderup was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Baudelio Santa Ana in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Capo de Provincia's Baudelio Santa Ana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Nygren in the 57th minute of play. Epifanío Mejia hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Nygren came free, but Baudelio Santa Ana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeronimo Avaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Henning Sæmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Svensson during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Nordsjælland getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Daniel Svensson hit a great ball. Saúl Tindall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Henning Sæmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henning Sæmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeronimo Avaria's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sindre Walle in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baudelio Santa Ana saved Capo de Provincia from getting behind. Baudelio Santa Ana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dimitar Berbatov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 93 minute of play.
