Henning Sæmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Sosnowiec's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Konstanty Literski in the 13th minute. The corner led F.C. Kacper Tobiáš came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Nordsjælland's Sindre Walle. But to his dismay, Sindre Walle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 29th match minute, FC Nordsjælland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Gjødsbøl to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Edin Džeko put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Henning Sæmer. If Edin Džeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edin Džeko in the 36th minute of the match. F.C. Sosnowiec's Edin Džeko got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henning Sæmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edin Džeko, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henning Sæmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, F.C. Sosnowiec's Edin Džeko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henning Sæmer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edin Džeko to make the kick off. Massem Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Sæmer having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Dennis Esbjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, F.C. Sosnowiec's Edin Džeko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henning Sæmer. Henning Sæmer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Edin Džeko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henning Sæmer having to make a save. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edin Džeko in the 66th minute of the match. Freddie Græsborg kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edin Džeko got free with Henning Sæmer in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henning Sæmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edin Džeko in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Edin Džeko notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of FC Nordsjælland's Henning Sæmer. Henning Sæmer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 minutes, Edin Džeko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. Sosnowiec and the FC Nordsjælland players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
