With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dom Fredon in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Daniël Boffin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Fredon in the 89th minute of the match. Dom Fredon scored 3-3 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
