Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FENERBAHÇE.
