If Twan Hesseling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christijan Schreuder scored 1-0 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 8th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Twan Hesseling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Twan Hesseling, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Twan Hesseling came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 21st minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Ruud Geels came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Ruud Geels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruud Geels went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Herbert Hilhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Ruud Geels nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 42ndth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute, Ruud Geels reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 6-0. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phoenix Soare didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Verwachting from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Verwachting's Herbert Hilhorst got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Harm de Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 91st minute Ruud Geels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phoenix Soare kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Schreuder in the 96th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Verwachting players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
