Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Stoicii getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ştefan Nebunu hit a great ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stoicii's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th minute, Claudiu Popescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Stoicii got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Zaki. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Oncescu saved Stoicii from getting behind. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stoicii's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Olimpiu Oncescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jose Carita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Olimpiu Oncescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olimpiu Oncescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidoro Sarmiento in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Oncescu saved Stoicii from getting behind. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olimpiu Oncescu quite easily take care of the ball. Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Carita in the 42nd minute of play. Mugur Aldulea scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Claudiu Popescu made the kick off in the second half. Alex Cambeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olimpiu Oncescu having to interfere. With a little luck, Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu got control of the ball when Alex Cambeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Panama's Tomas Berganza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olimpiu Oncescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Olimpiu Oncescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. Stoicii's Olimpiu Oncescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 68th minute of play. Alex Cambeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Aldulea in the 85th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
