When Mauricio Dacio fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Forward BK's protests and gave Mauricio Dacio a yellow card for diving instead. Uruguay's Lucho Andrade was substituted for Jorge Sainz. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Svante Lövgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Dana White blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 20th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Deckbergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Dacio came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Deckbergh having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaac Deckbergh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Forward BK's Bruno Gines got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Carl Wahlström made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Isaac Deckbergh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Gines to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Forward BK's goalkeeper Isaac Deckbergh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Isaac Deckbergh made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Gines in the 64th minute of the match. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carl Wahlström in the 66 minute of the game. The throw-in from Carl Wahlström in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Cazalla during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Mauricio Dacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Mauricio Dacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Gines in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Forward BK's goalkeeper Isaac Deckbergh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Isaac Deckbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 79th minute of the match. Isaac Deckbergh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the game Carl Wahlström made a throw-in which Dana White played forward.
