In the 3rd minute, Vahdet Kuddus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Montana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ziya Erdoğan came free, but Ilie Brumaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Şensoy Usun fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Montana's protests and gave Şensoy Usun a yellow card for diving instead. Şensoy Usun hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ilie Brumaru came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Montana's Arda Baybars Sarısaltuk. But to his dismay, Arda Baybars Sarısaltuk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of FC Montana booed when FC Cosula-BTF- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurel Lăceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ziya Erdoğan in the 18th minute of play forced FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ilie Brumaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Brumaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zafer Yoruç went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Ilie Brumaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ziya Erdoğan in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Montana's Dino Montana got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Ciprian Gaiță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osman Tahir having to make a save. In the 39th match minute, FC Cosula-BTF- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Bădescu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vintilă Bădescu got free with Osman Tahir in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The FC Cosula-BTF- players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Montana were winning 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciprian Gaiță made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zafer Yoruç during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Zafer Yoruç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dacian Jurăscu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arda Baybars Sarısaltuk got free with Ilie Brumaru in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osman Tahir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Teodorescu in the 63rd minute of play. Peyami Hizanlı kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Ciprian Gaiță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osman Tahir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciprian Gaiță in the 77th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ciprian Gaiță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Osman Tahir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 85 minutes into the match, Dacian Jurăscu notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of FC Montana's Osman Tahir. Osman Tahir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Umur Ökten hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Ciprian Gaiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osman Tahir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Montana supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Montana would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
