Ilie Brumaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Blanc, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Olimpiu Teodorescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ilie Brumaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michael Kuijsten went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Marcel Blanc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Brumaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ciprian Gaiță kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Mijdrecht Maffia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Blanc to maneuver through the defense. Dan Alupulesei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rik Numan. Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ernst Klooster fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mijdrecht Maffia's protests and gave Ernst Klooster a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Mijdrecht Maffia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Cosula-BTF-:s goal. Rik Numan had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Ciprian Gaiță's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ciprian Gaiță after 46 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Mijdrecht Maffia's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Michael Kuijsten made the kick off in the second half. If Vintilă Bădescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes FC Cosula-BTF- got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Bădescu. Dan Alupulesei hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Gertjan Theisens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mijdrecht Maffia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Cosula-BTF- the free kick. After 64 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Gertjan Theisens. Michael Kuijsten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilie Brumaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Rik Numan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Bădescu in the 69th minute of play. Jens Spoel hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru got control of the ball when Michael Kuijsten tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute Mijdrecht Maffia were awarded a corner. Laurens Hollander went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalie and right to Marcel Blanc. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Nichifor Nișu charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nichifor Nișu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Peter Homan. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mijdrecht Maffia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
