After a rather tough play, Mijdrecht Maffia's Jens Spoel got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Ronaldinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Morro Grande E.C's Jorginho Mazza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rik Numan. That made the score 1-0 after 34 minutes of play. Morro Grande E.C's José Pedro Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Kuijsten in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Michael Kuijsten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mijdrecht Maffia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. José Pedro Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gertjan Theisens, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Leonel Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rik Numan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Homan charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Homan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Mijdrecht Maffia got a freekick which was hit by Peter Homan. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Kuijsten made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper José Pedro Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gertjan Theisens. If Ronaldinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mijdrecht Maffia's Rik Numan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Meira in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Augusto Travassos to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Jorginho Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morro Grande E.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Rik Numan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Mazza went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jorge Sá hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's Laurens Hollander broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's José Augusto Travassos got a free kick in the 88th minute. Pedro Paulo Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morro Grande E.C were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mijdrecht Maffia for a fine match.
