Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Casette's goalkeeper Bianco Desiderio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bianco Desiderio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Sciarretta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Toccaceli in the 11th minute of play. Bianco Desiderio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bianco Desiderio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ercole Scandella sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th match minute, Casette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Pavlu to maneuver through the defense. Casette's Bianco Desiderio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Sciarretta came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casette's Bianco Desiderio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 36th minute of play. Alex Brunelli hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bianco Desiderio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mexico booed when Casette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunato Moschetta didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Coscia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Desiderio having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Bianco Desiderio made a huge save. Casette's Bianco Desiderio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Casette from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Bianco Desiderio in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Casette's goalkeeper Bianco Desiderio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. In the 65th minute Alessandro Coscia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Bianco Desiderio in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 69 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Toccaceli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ercole Scandella during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Casette getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ercole Scandella hit a great ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Toccaceli in the 75th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casette's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Bianco Desiderio, making the score, 0-1. The nice shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 81stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bianco Desiderio had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Casette's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Desiderio having to interfere. Bianco Desiderio came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Sciarretta, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 96th minute Achille Toccaceli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
