When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Toccaceli in the 29th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ercole Scandella. Davide Sciarretta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Alessandro Coscia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Casette were awarded a corner. Achille Toccaceli went to the cornerflag to take it. Corrado Pavlu charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corrado Pavlu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Coscia to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Scandella in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Ercole Scandella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Casette's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. Ercole Scandella hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Alessandro Coscia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Casette's Corrado Pavlu got a free kick in the 57th minute. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bianco Desiderio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Bianco Desiderio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Casette's Bianco Desiderio. Bianco Desiderio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 78 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Davide Sciarretta came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes Chile's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Achille Toccaceli who took care of the corner kick. Orlando Casaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bianco Desiderio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Alessandro Coscia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Coscia in the 86th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bianco Desiderio having to make a save. Mariano Lacasa scored 2-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bianco Desiderio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chile walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
