Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toro Junior started the match with the kick off. AE Uruguaianense's Jardel Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AE Uruguaianense's Jardel Queiroz did a great save. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AE Uruguaianense's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Toro Junior could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. In the 23rd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Jardel Queiroz. AE Uruguaianense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in AE Uruguaianense's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jardel Queiroz came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 32 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Toro Junior sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind AE Uruguaianense's goalkeeper Jardel Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute of the match, Antônio Carlos Arantes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 46 minutes, Toro Junior managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AE Uruguaianense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toro Junior was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Jardel Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes AE Uruguaianense got a freekick which was hit by Ubelteso Amandi. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jardel Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Toro Junior recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Sebastián Puig during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilmar Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jardel Queiroz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Jardel Queiroz in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jardel Queiroz. That made the score 1-2 in the 86 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni Catarinense during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AE Uruguaianense's Doni Catarinense got a free kick in the 90th minute. Jardel Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Abelardo França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
