Carlos Germano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Germano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Andino made in the 25th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique de Lima in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique de Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Primitivo Andino made in the 38th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Felix Montenegro however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play forced Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Donzela de Ferro FBPA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 43rd minute, Henrique de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. César de Souza fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 47th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique de Lima to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Carlos Germano to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Carlos Germano got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique de Lima came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
