Talip Taşan's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Talip Taşan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Shed End was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Holmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stig-Ove Hedkvist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stig-Ove Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Ove Hedkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Shed End's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to FC Shed End getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Talip Taşan hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Stig-Ove Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Shed End's Stig-Ove Hedkvist. Stig-Ove Hedkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Julio Vera was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aykutalp Ezgü. Stig-Ove Hedkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aykutalp Ezgü to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, FC Shed End's Aykutalp Ezgü got a free kick in the 50th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Talip Taşan in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Stig-Ove Hedkvist in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The FC Shed End fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when FC Shed End's Aykutalp Ezgü looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Shed End's Silvestre Gar was substituted for Aykutalp Ezgü. FC Shed End made a substitution. Luka Langoni replaced Leonardo Axelsson. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 74 minutes, Silvestre Gar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Shed End's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Gar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Gar in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Shed End's Stig-Ove Hedkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute of play. After 83 played minutes FC Shed End got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Gar. Stig-Ove Hedkvist made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvestre Gar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Shed End's Silvestre Gar. But to his dismay, Silvestre Gar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
