Alexander Lingren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Axel Sjöberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Mina during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tim Nyberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Nyberg having to interfere. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Carlos Caldeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Wennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Benny Benno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-1. Real Calle's Tim Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48th minute, Real Calle's Benny Benno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benny Benno to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Real Calle's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benny Benno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Tim Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tim Nyberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Mariano in the 68th minute. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Nyberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Nyberg having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Venezuela's Patricio Costa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tim Nyberg. Tim Nyberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Wennersten in the 97th minute of play. Real Calle walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
