With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Benny Benno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Real Calle were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Timmy Krusfeldt took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Timmy Krusfeldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 11th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Nyberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Benno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Real Calle were awarded a corner. Timmy Krusfeldt went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Alexander Lingren managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Wennersten in the 26th minute of the match. Tim Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Real Calle defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tim Nyberg. The Real Calle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tim Nyberg should have stopped the shot. Tim Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Benny Benno made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 51st minute. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim Nyberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Tim Nyberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. Tim Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Nyberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tim Nyberg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ecuador's Agustín Saelices shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Real Calle's Dolfo Olmos was substituted for Timmy Krusfeldt. After 71 minutes of play, Real Calle's Carlos Caldeira made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of play forced Real Calle's goalkeeper Tim Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Carlos Caldeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Tim Nyberg made a huge save. In the 83rd match minute, Real Calle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tim Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
