In the 15th minute, Júlio Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 19th minute of play forced FC ARK CS's goalkeeper Nicolas Joey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolas Joey. FC ARK CS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Lang in the 45th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC ARK CS's Bryan White got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 68th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Ros to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Panama booed when FC ARK CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Corcoran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes FC ARK CS got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Corcoran. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC ARK CS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
