Fu Sheng Jian ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Lorenz having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fu Sheng Jian in the 15th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Fu Sheng Jian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristo Lorenz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Lorenz having to interfere. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Team in construction's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Cristo Lorenz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Ioan Beca hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Team in construction's Fu Sheng Jian dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Ecuador's Daniel Zorita suffered a fractured collar bone after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Pașcanu during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ecuador made a substitution. Luz Palacio replaced Daniel Zorita. Leonard Pașcanu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fu Sheng Jian in the 63rd minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Team in construction defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristo Lorenz. The Team in construction fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristo Lorenz should have stopped the shot. Luz Palacio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristo Lorenz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristo Lorenz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cristo Lorenz quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play forced Team in construction's goalkeeper Cristo Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Team in construction's Cristo Lorenz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Team in construction from getting a goal against them. Luz Palacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Team in construction to leave the ground with a draw.
