Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Gjermund Viste started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Legia Stavanger's Gjermund Viste. But to his dismay, Gjermund Viste quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 8th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demarcus Andersen kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Legia Stavanger's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gjermund Viste in the 28th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Mats Lillegård advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 28th minute. When Legia Stavanger's Gjermund Viste in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The Legia Stavanger fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Legia Stavanger's Gjermund Viste looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 35th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavcho Kanov having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Gjermund Viste sent off a good shot on target. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Legia Stavanger:s goal.

The wind increased when Eliseo Noboa made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Demarcus Andersen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Demarcus Andersen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Gjermund Viste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Farstad came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gjermund Viste in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gjermund Viste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The supporters of Legia Stavanger booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Gjermund Viste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gjermund Viste was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Gjermund Viste put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. After 74 played minutes Legia Stavanger got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Farstad. Trygve Stormoen kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavcho Kanov having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Legia Stavanger's Mats Lillegård got a free kick in the 79th minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gjermund Viste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gjermund Viste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Ferrant kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Daniel Farstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gjermund Viste in the 93rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legia Stavanger's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
