Zhuang Jun Di made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zhuang Jun Di in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zhuang Jun Di made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zhuang Jun Di. Zhuang Jun Di dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhuang Jun Di having to interfere. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Prospero Sandaili. But to his dismay, Prospero Sandaili quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zhuang Jun Di played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhuang Jun Di saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhuang Jun Di showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute of play forced Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's goalkeeper Zhuang Jun Di to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zhuang Jun Di having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prospero Sandaili stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Salomon in the 51st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Zhuang Jun Di in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zhuang Jun Di proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zhuang Jun Di came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhuang Jun Di saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Zhuang Jun Di however easily saved by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Sandaili in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Gabirel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C's Zhuang Jun Di managed to reach the ball for a save. Zhuang Jun Di showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Prospero Sandaili struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep. Rengo y Ricota F. C.
