Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lico Tarin took the kick off in the first half of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronny Engström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, ATLETAS FC's Lico Tarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ATLETAS FC's Erubiel Madaleno quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 10th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the game, Luis Cazalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ATLETAS FC the free kick. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Lico Tarin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Colombia booed when ATLETAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kong Chen Xuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATLETAS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. Colombia's Santino Seco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronny Engström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lico Tarin struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATLETAS FC. In the 46th minute of the game Orlando Tafalla made a throw-in which Axel Montenegro played forward. In the 48th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Engström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Waclaw Gniech managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATLETAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waclaw Gniech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronny Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 57th minute of play. The corner ended in Luis Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström did a great save. 64 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Lico Tarin came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eutropio Turienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eutropio Turienzo scored 2-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronny Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Eutropio Turienzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. ATLETAS FC's Ronny Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 89th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATLETAS FC.
