The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pegasas Siauliai's zone, Aykutalp Tecelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Romanescu came out of the goal and Aykutalp Tecelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, FC Pegasas Siauliai's 孟振邦 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yorrick Zoethout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. SV Balverliefd's Yorrick Zoethout proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save SV Balverliefd from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Lindelöf in the 15th minute of play forced FC Pegasas Siauliai's goalkeeper Pavel Romanescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aykutalp Tecelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pavel Romanescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Gudmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper Yorrick Zoethout had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miltos Kotsovolos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aykutalp Tecelli in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavel Romanescu saved FC Pegasas Siauliai from getting behind. 43 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's Aykutalp Tecelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Romanescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, 孟振邦 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pegasas Siauliai's supporters crossed their fingers, but 孟振邦 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC Pegasas Siauliai booed when SV Balverliefd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jyrki Kujanpää didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 孟振邦 to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Lindelöf got free with Pavel Romanescu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SV Balverliefd were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after FC Pegasas Siauliai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Harmen Kloppenburg took the corner. Pavel Romanescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melker Gudmundsson in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, FC Pegasas Siauliai's Pavel Romanescu got control of the ball when Aykutalp Tecelli tried to sneak it across the goal line.
