The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to FC Dacii Liberi - IASI getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Mihnea Suşu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leroy Kluttig in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Leroy Kluttig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mihnea Suşu was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benny Schweinsteiger got free with Mihnea Suşu in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Mathias de Hondt got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Lukas Goretzka shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihnea Suşu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on PoWer SC 2K5's corner Lukas Goretzka fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mihnea Suşu quite easily take care of the ball. Lukas Goretzka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihnea Suşu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Mihnea Suşu made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Leroy Kluttig sent off a good shot on target. Gaizko Abaurre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. David Rotariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaizko Abaurre to make the kick off. Leroy Kluttig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mihnea Suşu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zvonimir Prestin in the 59th minute of play. Hector Todor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mihnea Suşu having to make a save. In the 84th minute, Gaizko Abaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodolfo Pinheiro got free with David Rotariu in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Dacii Liberi - IASI booed when PoWer SC 2K5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kimmich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedicto Abello was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
