Prodromos Britzolidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salem Gunners BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 11th minute of play forced Salem Gunners BK's goalkeeper Prodromos Britzolidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Salem Gunners BK's Stig-Åke Alkvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Salem Gunners BK's Timmy Backman got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Prodromos Britzolidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Salem Gunners BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Alberto Tafalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis did a great save. Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. Viggo Berggren hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Joel Gaona sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis didn't even have to move. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Teles in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Svante Gustafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Salem Gunners BK's Cícero Teles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
52 minutes into the match, Salem Gunners BK's goalkeeper Prodromos Britzolidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prodromos Britzolidis. That made the score 1-1 in the 52 minute of play. In the 56th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prodromos Britzolidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Alkvist came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prodromos Britzolidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prodromos Britzolidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prodromos Britzolidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Salem Gunners BK's goalkeeper Prodromos Britzolidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The corner led Mexico's Facundo Cadaval to fire away a dangerous shot which Prodromos Britzolidis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 81st minute. Bo Sundén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Salem Gunners BK's goalkeeper Prodromos Britzolidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Alberto Tafalla ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Prodromos Britzolidis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
