The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Goral Zywiec's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Michael Krawczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Goral Zywiec's Michael Krawczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Goral Zywiec booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Goral Zywiec's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Michael Krawczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goral Zywiec's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grzegorz Jajecznica, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Krawczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 22nd minute. Michael Krawczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Michael Krawczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Krawczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Maciej Dulka reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 32nd minute of play forced Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Michael Krawczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Goral Zywiec's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Goral Zywiec's Alfred Ewertowski got a free kick in the 34th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Barck in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wincent Drugi who took care of the corner kick. Nicklas Barck took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victorino Frederik made a kick off. Michael Krawczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Frederik came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Michael Krawczyk. Michael Krawczyk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 66 minutes into the game, Grzegorz Jajecznica cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Goral Zywiec's Roman Makomaski was substituted for Grzegorz Jajecznica. With a little luck, Goral Zywiec's Michael Krawczyk got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Goral Zywiec's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 87th match minute, Goral Zywiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Zalipski to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Krawczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Tobias Abechuco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Goral Zywiec's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
