In the 28th minute, Tomas Berganza made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Bond. Witney City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Tommy Bond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidoro Sarmiento went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Leon Swanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 63rd minute of play forced Witney City's goalkeeper Tommy Bond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Bond made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Bond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
