Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) FC Kraków1983's Fryderyk Motowski started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Kraków1983's Zenon Niezywy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zenon Niezywy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC Kraków1983's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montes to score against Zenon Niezywy in FC Kraków1983's goal. 0-1 after 12 minutes. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zenon Niezywy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Fryderyk Motowski sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Fryderyk Motowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Fryderyk Motowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zenon Niezywy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes FC Kraków1983's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Mentis in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when FC Kraków1983 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wlodzimierz Januszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball.

After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fryderyk Motowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Niezywy having to interfere. After taking down the ball on FC Kraków1983's corner Juan Čuk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fryderyk Motowski in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Kraków1983 made a substitution. Walery Jajecznica replaced Radomil Mentis. Wlodzimierz Januszewski hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Zenon Niezywy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fryderyk Motowski in the 82nd minute of the match. FC Kraków1983 were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olgierd Osowski took the corner. FC Kraków1983's Walery Jajecznica was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 90th minute Fryderyk Motowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Motowski in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zenon Niezywy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ecuador's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
