Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lei Fei Song made the kick off which started today's match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Lei Fei Song tried to sneak it across the goal line. Veremundo Salz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Tome Usel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tome Usel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Veremundo Salz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Artur Acereda charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Acereda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Artur Acereda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tome Usel having to interfere. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tome Usel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Tome Usel made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Union Lara FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Arias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tome Usel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tome Usel having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Union Lara FC's goalkeeper Tome Usel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Union Lara FC's You Xiao Mo was substituted for Veremundo Salz. An unexpectedly hard shot by You Xiao Mo in the 61st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Tome Usel however easily saved by the left post. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Txerran Velasco hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tome Usel could save by the left post. In the 69th minute Francis Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tome Usel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 78th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Union Lara FC's goalie and right to Antonio Arias. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Union Lara FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Union Lara FC's Tome Usel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Union Lara FC from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Union Lara FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 88th minute You Xiao Mo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Tome Usel. Union Lara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Union Lara FC's Virgilio Rivas was substituted for Artur Acereda. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
