An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced Doctors of Dental Surgery's goalkeeper Oliver Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Doctors of Dental Surgery's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 10th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute of the match, Rasmus Gernberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After having played for 16 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Doctors of Dental Surgery's Oliver Lundin managed to reach the ball for a save. 32 minutes into the game, Michael Carlsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Lundin. Oliver Lundin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Lundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Doctors of Dental Surgery getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Vidar Hamnberg hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Oliver Lundin in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oliver Lundin was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-2. 63 minutes into the match, Doctors of Dental Surgery's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Oliver Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Botvidsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 71st minute of play. Doctors of Dental Surgery's Per-Erik Klack was substituted for Nils-Emil Persson. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Doctors of Dental Surgery's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, Doctors of Dental Surgery's Oliver Lundin got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Doctors of Dental Surgery booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Doctors of Dental Surgery. Doctors of Dental Surgery's Oliver Lundin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Doctors of Dental Surgery from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
