After 23 played minutes SILMONT got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Escudié. Adriano Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Martial Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Albaret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Guimarães in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Thomas Albaret's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Thomas Albaret who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes, Orlando Tafalla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the SILMONT players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean-Yves Bayle. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 89th minute of play forced SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Bordat in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SILMONT fans cheered their team off the field, for while Colombia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
